Class management (classroom management) is an educational moment that places teachers as authorized individuals and has autonomy in the learning process to direct, build learning culture, evaluate and invite all class communities to make joint commitments so that the learning process becomes more effective and successful.

The teacher has the authority to prepare in learning plans that focus on character values, apply learning and evaluate and reflect after learning.

Good classroom management will help students learn better and can improve learning achievement. In the management process and classroom settings there are moments to strengthen the values ​​of character education.

For example, before starting the lesson the teacher prepares students to psychologically and emotionally enter the learning material, starting with praying to instill a religious character, the teacher notices attendance and completeness of dress to instill the values ​​of discipline and shared commitment, the teacher and students make a class commitment that will be agreed upon when students learn.

The rules that are made must be communicated, dialogue and agreed upon with students. Classroom settings are important so that the learning process goes well and helps each individual develop maximally in learning. Good classroom management by teachers is very influential on the good character of the students, including:

a. Students become good listeners or listen when the teacher gives an explanation in the classroom (can strengthen the value of mutual respect and tolerance).

b. Students raise their hands / raise their fingers to the teacher before asking questions / responses, after being allowed by the teacher he can only speak (can strengthen the value of mutual respect and confidence).

c. The provision of sanctions that educate students as a consequence and form of responsibility in the event of delays in doing or collecting tasks (can strengthen the value of discipline, responsibility, and self-commitment).

d. Teachers encourage students to do peer tutoring, students who are smarter are invited to help their friends who are lacking in learning and in carrying out tasks given by the teacher (can strengthen the value of mutual cooperation, social care, confidence, and responsibility).

Class management cannot be reduced only as an arrangement of the physical environment in the classroom, but rather needs to focus more on how students are prepared to have physical, mental, psychological, and academic readiness to undergo a more productive learning process.
